Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about creating agreements, signing and downloading your documents.

What is RentDox?

RentDox is an online platform for preparing tenancy agreements, inviting parties to sign digitally, tracking signatures and downloading a completed PDF.

Who can use RentDox?

RentDox is designed primarily for real estate agents managing residential and commercial tenancy agreements.

How many free agreements do I get?

Each agent account receives two free agreements in total. The free allowance does not renew monthly.

Do landlords and tenants need a RentDox account to sign?

No. They can open the unique signing link provided to them. Handle these links privately, as anyone with a valid link may be able to access the signing page.

How does digital signing work?

After the agent locks the agreement snapshot, signing invitations can be generated for the landlord, tenant and both witness roles. Each party reviews the document, gives consent and signs online.

When is the final PDF available?

The final PDF is available only after all four required signing roles have completed signing. Before then, the agreement can be reviewed as a draft.

Can I prepare residential and commercial agreements?

Yes. RentDox supports residential and commercial tenancy workflows, with English and Bahasa Melayu agreement options.

What do the paid plans include?

The 1-month plan is RM30 and the 3-month plan is RM75. Each provides unlimited new agreements during the paid access period. Payment activation is currently pending, so paid subscriptions are not yet available.

What happens if I renew a paid plan early?

An early renewal extends your existing paid access from its current expiry date, so remaining subscription time is not lost.

Can I still access agreements when my subscription expires?

Yes. Existing agreements remain available for signing and completed PDF downloads. You can also use any unused free agreement allowance.

Are signing links secure?

Keep each signing invitation link private and send it only to its intended recipient. A link should not be treated as identity verification. RentDox signing currently does not claim to verify signer identity using OTP.

Does RentDox replace legal advice?

No. Review the agreement details and seek qualified legal advice whenever your tenancy arrangements or local requirements call for it.
